DermaLly Pure Natural Skin Therapy, by Madawa's Zanzibar
The DermaLly Pure skincare line by Madawa's Zanzibar was introduced in
2002 by Anita Schiltz and Penelope Stone, after their meeting and apprenticeship with a traditional herbalist on the Island of
Zanzibar, Madawa.
Both women became passionate about sustaining timeless herbal wisdom and tradition. They envisioned a company which integrated
traditional herbal wisdom and modern skin science. Working with a biochemist in skin therapy, they created their vision, DermaLly
Pure, a natural antioxidant skin therapy with time-tested, esteemed botanicals to boost the skins immune system and provide defense
against environmental and sun damage.
Madawa's takes pride in effective skin therapy, a fair trade model which helps sustain organic farming culture, and traditional
herbalism. The Madawa line caters to those who seek natural, cruelty-free skin care without compromising the quality of a superior
performing skin therapy. All of Madawa's products are pure, natural, contain no synthetic fragrances, dyes or parabens, are never
tested on animals, and, are packaged in recyclable containers and earth-friendly wrappers.

Girls' Night In - January 2004, Essence Magazine
|
|
|
It's about midnight on a Friday, and the
party at Glorice Sanders's house is in full swing. Wine, champagne and shrimp are spread out on a table. One
sister is feeling so good she's got her head back, her eyes closed and a silly grin on her face. Another is
lying in semidarkness in an upstairs bedroom, enjoying a strong pair of hands working over her body. The rest of
the women are sitting around the kitchen table with their hair wrapped in towels and their feet in basins of
warm, scented water. "Mmm," one sighs. "This is wonderful."
