The Board
currently licenses over 23,000 individuals and
businesses in the various branches of the
Cosmetology (hairdressing, manicuring,
aesthetics, electrology and cosmetology schools
and programs).
It is the mission of the
Arkansas State Board of Cosmetology to carry
out and enforce the provisions of the
Cosmetology Code at a level that will protect
the health and safety of the Public, to perform
these duties and responsibilities in the most
cost-effective and functionally-efficient
manner, and to continually strive to provide
the highest quality of service to the public
and to those individuals who are regulated by
the Board. |

Our 500 hour
massage certification course is based on the
relaxing or Swedish Massage. We go beyond by
teaching the fundamentals of two advanced
techniques, the Mattes Method of Active Isolated
Stretching and the Taws Technique of Soft Tissue
Release. We supplement these with strong
programs in ethics/boundaries and
anatomy/physiology. We strive to promote
self-awareness and self-growth so that students
can learn to create successful habits.
Established in 1957, we are the oldest school of
massage in Arkansas, approved and licensed by
the Arkansas State Board of Massage Therapy. |
